Bondwoman and myself both have a passion for live music which leads us to go to gigs of stuff that we are unfamiliar with, The Yiddish Song Project being a case in point. We did not know what to expect beyond knowing the the pianist, Phil Alexander, would be part of the band; we have come to know and love this supremely talented musician from his connection with Moishe’s Bagel. But I digress, we went to The Lot on Saturday evening, and we were far from disappointed by these three musicians, Joanna Nicholson playing clarinet superbly, Stephanie Brickman’s great voice and Phil Alexander doing his stuff with piano and accordian. No wonder they got such a good review…
