A Wee bit of Maritime History

I have just read this interesting article about the possible restoration of the time ball located on the Nelson Monument up on Calton Hill. Now it just raises the question in my mind about Edinburgh City Council’s allocation of resources; vast quantities of money being spent on a bloody tram system that nobody seems to want when the money could be better spent on things that need doing; for example the restoration of the time ball, keeping the cycle paths clear, and many other things that are being neglected at present. Rant over!
