Edinburgh is known for its great history and I have a group of artist who wished to travel there and paint, I hope to be able to see for myself the beauty that you were able to capture in your extraordinary pictures.
Welcome Sibel. Edinburgh is a beautiful city indeed, but then, living here, I guess I am more than a little biased. It has only recently that I have come to appreciate what this great city has given the world down the centuries, and that in terms of such things as medical advances, philosophy and economics to n mae but three.
A memory of Edinburgh I don’t miss — very cold winters. Was up a couple of weeks ago – first time in a while – and must admit I had pangs of home-sickness (or it may just have been a reaction to the excessive alcohol consumption).
Indeed Russell, for me it is the short days between Nov. and Mar. that get me, especially in the depths of Dec. and Jan. when one sometimes has to have lights on all day becuase it never really gets light. But then you get a day with no cloud and brilliant sunshine which lifts the spirits incredibly. I am also familiar with “excessive alcohol consumption”, my partner is an academic, and they certainly know how to put it away

Like what you’re doing here.
All the best from an exiled Scot in Sheffield.
